Matthew Trim’s Work History in the Service, Food & Beverage, and Retail Sector

With expertise in sales/business development, strategy development, people leadership, client management, operations & financial management, and process improvement; Matthew Trim has contributed in the success of many businesses across the service, food & beverage, and retail sector. He has excellent sales and closing skills with a proven ability to market and sell products/services to diverse stakeholders.

Currently serving as the Director of Commercial Adelaide Real Estate Group, Adelaide, SA, Matthew Trim accepts and lists properties and businesses for sale and lease; conducts inspections; and advises buyers on the merits of properties and businesses and the terms of sale or lease. Prior to this, he was the Business Development Director of 131 Pizza, Melbourne, Victoria (2012-2017). He purchased it in 2012 and successfully built it to become the largest independent Pizza Group within Australia with more than 200 member stores nation-wide. Later, he sold it to a national food service business.

From 2003 to 2014, Matthew served as the Managing Director/Operations Director of Hospitality Group, Adelaide, South Australia. The group encompassed restaurants, bars and pubs across the North Adelaide and Norwood Region employing approximately 70 employees. Besides successfully building Trim Hospitality from a start-up business to $5m within 3 years with significant and sustained increases to gross profit and EBITDA, he also acquired and turned around many poor performing businesses to become award winning restaurants.

Before that, Matthew Trim served as a Retail Operations Manager at Trims Retail for five years (1998-2003). One of his major achievements here was executing commercial management strategies that drove growth within the group beyond $15m per annum. He was able to achieve this by focusing on key factors like modernisation and continual process improvements.
